SCOPE OF WORKS

TRAMS works adjointly with RAILWAYS company for it’s Haramain High Speed railways signaling cable laying project with the following scope of work:

  • Signaling cable laying.
  • Energy cable laying
  • Signaling cable testing and termination.
  • Energy cable testing and termination
  • Installation of connection boxes.
  • Connections inside.
  • Earthling of connection boxes.
  • Installation of joints.
  • Electrical connections in technical buildings.

SIGNAL CABLE LAYING BY MECHANICAL MEANS

Use Of High Mechanical Machine

Cable Drum Rack With A Load Capacity Of Eight Drums.

These Drums Are Guided By The Main Machine

The Cable Drums Are Placed Using Lifting Devices

As The Machine Goes Forward The Drums Rotate And The Cable Will Go Through The Different Rollers From The Drums To The Bottom Of Cable Duct.

When The Set Machine Reaches Any Rail Cabinet, The Corresponding Cables Are Cut With The Necessary Length By Connecting With The Rail Cabinet.

With This Machine It Is Possible To Make The Laying Signaling Cable, Energy Cable Even Telecommunication Cable At The Same Time.

CONNECTION BOX

Connection boxes were used throughout the railway network to connect signaling equipment to location cabinets.

Connection Terminals

  • Terminals are the connecting elements for the conductors of the main and secondary cables that go into and out of the boxes to be installed.
  • They are installed inside connection boxes.
  • The terminal allows the connection of two conductors of the same section and of the same nature.
  • They have Main input and secondary output Cables

CONNECTION BOX INSTALLATION

MARKING TRENCHES

  • From the cable duct to the connection box , a buried channel is built, which will consist of one or two tubes 90 or 110 mm of inside diameter, along which the input and output cables from connection boxes will be laid.
  • From the connection box (base) to the different track devices, a channel will be built with a flexible tube directly buried at the depth

INSTALLATION OF JOINTS

  • Depending on the number of wires of cable laid, a type of joint with more or less capacity will be used.
  • For each type of cable, a type of joint set is specified, which include all the necessary elements for making the same.
